Introduction

This product, Thysilyn Turmeric Xtra, is a food supplement containing dry root extract of Turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) and dry leaf extract of Artichoke (Cynara scolymus L.) which is used to help maintain a healthy bowel and digestive function.

Turmeric contains an active ingredient called Curcumin, a spicy yellow pigment that is used both for cooking purposes and for its health benefits.

The healing properties of turmeric have been known about by Ayurvedic (ancient Indian) practitioners for many centuries. However, it has only been recently that scientific research has begun to confirm and endorse its multiple health benefits.

Artichoke leaf extract contains an active component Cynarin, which has been shown to help maintain a healthy digestive system when taken as a daily supplement, or to support natural digestive function at times when you need it most.

What is this product?

This product is a food supplement containing Turmeric dry root extract and Artichoke dry leaf extract. Each tablet contains 80mg of Turmeric dry root extract (Curcuma longa L.) and 50mg of Artichoke dry leaf extract. The tablet is made from vegetarian sources and is therefore suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Available as 30 tablets.

The exact origin of turmeric is not known but it originates from South or Southeast Asia, most probably from western India. Turmeric, a perennial herb and member of the ginger plant family is a sterile plant, and does not produce seed.

Artichoke is a perennial in the thistle group of the sunflower family and is believed to be a native of the Mediterranean and the Canary Islands. In full growth, the plant spreads to cover an area about six feet in diameter and reaches a height of three to four feet.

Each tablet contains 80mg of extract (as dry extract) from Turmeric root (Curcuma longa L.) (25:1) (equivalent to 2000mg of Turmeric root) and 50mg of extract (as dry extract) from Artichoke leaves (Cynara scolymus L.) (5:1) (equivalent to 250mg Artichoke leaves).

This product also contains the following ingredients: Dicalcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, silicon dioxide, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, glycerol, titanium dioxide (E171) and iron oxides (E172).

Each pack contains 30 tablets.
